FAQ
Q: How do I know if my apartment is pre-wired for Ethernet?
A: Look for a small panel or metal/plastic box in a closet or near the entry, and check if your rooms have wall jacks that look like phone ports but labeled “CAT5/5e/6” or “DATA.” If you’re not sure, send us photos and we’ll tell you.
Q: Do I need to change my internet provider?
A: No. We work with whatever provider you already have (Spectrum, Optimum, Fios, Starry, etc.). We simply extend your existing connection through your in-wall Ethernet so more rooms can be wired.
Q: Will you have to open walls or do construction?
A: In most cases, no. If the building is already wired, we’re just terminating and organizing existing cables. If additional runs are needed, we’ll discuss that clearly before doing anything.
Q: How long does an apartment job take?
A: Most standard apartments (up to 4 jacks) take about 1–2 hours once we’re on-site, assuming the wiring is in decent shape.
Q: Do you work with co-op boards and condo associations?
A: Yes. We can attend board meetings (in person or via Zoom), provide documentation, and explain the scope in plain language.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. We carry general liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance (COI) naming your building or management company as additional insured upon request.
